About the Author
I got into astronomy at age 12, and took my first astrophoto from the backyard of my parents' home near Munich, Germany before my 14th birthday.
I am currently an Associate Professor in the Physics Department
at Central Michigan University
. My daytime work is on electret polymers which can be used as sensors and actuators. Here is my research website
